Job Summary

MRBG is seeking a Senior Business Systems Advisor who understands a company from its data outward. The right candidate has lived inside an ERP as a power user, administrator, or analyst, knows why the numbers look the way they do, and can turn that understanding into better reports, cleaner data, and tools a client's team will actually use. The Senior Advisor administers and improves client systems, builds applications and automations alongside the Associate Director of Technology, supports ERP selection and implementation, and, as trust is earned, takes a larger role in client relationships and in shaping the work that follows. Most of our clients are still figuring out what AI can do for their business. This role calls for someone with the skill set to maximize its value and the judgment to catch the risks they don't see.

Compensation

This role is paid a percentage commission on all hours billed to clients; the hourly range shown on this posting is earned per billed hour. Employees have the freedom to set their weekly hours, and billing rates step up as employees advance through the firm's tiers. Benefits are available to full-time employees (minimum 30 billable hours per week).

We are interested in speaking with Senior Advisors with experience in:

• ERP administration or implementation
• Business or systems analysis
• Data, SQL, and reporting
• Application development and automation
• Process documentation and training

Essential Functions

Client Partnership & Communication

• Build trusted relationships with leaders and their teams and partner across the MRBG team to deliver results.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to earn client buy-in.
• Identify opportunities where technology, data, or AI can improve a client's operations.
• Attend client and internal meetings as needed, including evenings and weekends when deadlines require it.

Analysis & Systems

• Administer client ERP and business systems: configure, report, handle inquiries, import data, clean up, and reconcile.
• Analyze system data to surface errors, gaps, and root causes, and turn findings into practical fixes.
• Support ERP selection and implementation, from data migration through go-live.

Execution & Coaching

• Build client applications, reports, and automations, and connect systems through APIs and data exports.
• Create and maintain user guides and process documentation in the firm's established style.
• Coach client teams through adoption so the change lasts after the engagement ends.
• Follow through on open items with clients and their IT providers so nothing stalls.
• Apply Plan–Do–Check–Adjust (PDCA) thinking, adapting proactively to shifting priorities.

Competencies or Experience Requirements

• 2+ years in ERP administration, business systems analysis, implementation, or a data-heavy operations or finance role.
• Working SQL and advanced Excel .
• Hands-on experience with at least one commercial ERP (Acumatica, Syspro, QuickBooks, or construction and manufacturing platforms), and the ability to learn a new one quickly.
• Experience using AI tools in analysis and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Highly analytical, with a track record of creative problem-solving and sound judgment .

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• ERP or platform certifications (Acumatica, Syspro, or similar) are a plus.

Travel / Remote Work

Most clients are within a 2.5-hour drive of Cleveland, Ohio. Regular in-person collaboration is key to strong client relationships, so this role requires on-site work with clients one to five days per week, most often alongside the Associate Director of Technology on active engagements. Remote work is encouraged when not on-site.
